The Impact Across the Sanctuary

Your monthly donation doesn’t just benefit one cat; it reaches every animal in KPOH’s care. It sustains a cage-free, stress-reduced environment where cats are treated as individuals, not managed as numbers. Where a 17-year-old with kidney disease gets the same commitment as a kitten. Where feral cats aren’t written off – they’re stabilized, respected, and given options.

We’ve operated on an all-volunteer model since 2012, never cages, never wages. Every dollar goes to the cats. Your commitment isn’t just a donation. It’s what keeps this place running for the cats who have nowhere else to go. Thank you for standing with us.

HOW BEING A MONTHLY SPONSOR MAKES A DIFFERENCE:

01

Quality Raw Food Diet

Your contribution helps provide our cats with a species-appropriate raw food diet, the kind of nutrition they were built for. Cats are obligate carnivores, and a biologically appropriate diet is the single most impactful thing we can do for their long-term health. For our special needs residents, that foundation matters even more

02

Integrative & Supportive Care

Many of the cats who come to us arrive with complex medical histories – chronic illness, neurological conditions, injuries, and the kind of long-term neglect that doesn’t show up on an intake form. Your support enables us to go beyond basic treatment and address the full picture of each cat’s physical and emotional well-being.

03

Socialization & Enrichment

Surviving isn’t the same as living. Your donation funds the enrichment, play, and patient trust-building work that helps even the most shut-down or fearful cats find their footing again. For our community cats, it supports the TNR work that keeps entire colonies stable and healthy.

04

Veterinary & Ongoing Medical Care

Wellness care, dental health, and responsive treatment aren’t optional; they’re the baseline every cat in our sanctuary receives. Your sponsorship means no cat’s needs go unaddressed because of cost.

Hi, I'm Hannity!

For eight agonizing days, I sat alone with my two tiny sisters, hungry and waiting for a feral mother who could not come back to us due to a severe illness she had, on top of the clinic not disclosing that she was nursing. When KPOH discovered us, we were emaciated and fighting for our lives.

I’m now 9 years old, and a living reminder that timing is everything, and that one discovery can change the entire course of a life. Please sponsor me and celebrate the miracle of being found just in time.

Hi, I'm Emmie!

I was a young, beautiful, dilute feral tortie who was injured, vulnerable, and living in a busy HEB grocery store parking lot when another rescue called KPOH for help because their mission stopped at trapping. KPOH’s does not. Rather than return a hurt cat to a dangerous life on asphalt, KPOH took me in, treated my injuries, and gave me a future I never would have had.

I am now 10 years old and thriving,  and proof that the right mission makes all the difference. Please sponsor me and help me continue to flourish in KPOH’s safe haven.

Hi, I'm Gunner!

I live with a condition called Eosinophilic Granuloma Complex, which is a condition that causes painful, open abscesses on my face, head, and shoulders in places that are nearly impossible to protect. Managing my care has required creativity, patience, and relentless dedication. KPOH rose to that challenge and invented solutions that allowed me to do something remarkable: grow old. It has been quite the journey, and it hasn’t been fun – but I am grateful to receive the care I need!

I am celebrating my 12th birthday this year, and I’m a living testament to what committed, innovative care looks like. Please sponsor me and help keep my golden years comfortable, dignified, and full of the care and love I desperately depend on.

Hi, I'm Coco!

Someone really mean kicked me in the face. I’m a  stunning, purebred Norwegian Forest cat, who was once someone’s companion, but I was abandoned to wander around a neighborhood with a broken jaw and a bleeding mouth until KPOH rescued me.

I was not neutered and bewildered and didn’t understand why the world had turned so cruel. KPOH gave me the medical care, the safety, and the patience it took to slowly rebuild my trust in people. It took some time; who could blame me?

Now, I’m approximately 14 years old, and one of the permanent residents who will never be discarded or harmed again. Please sponsor me in my golden years and help me deal with chronic kidney disease.

Hi, I'm Brayden!

I am an amputee kitty who is missing my right leg. I also have had an eye injury since my early kitten days, and have a crumpled ear that tells a story I can’t put into words. But none of this stops me from running and purring, ready to climb into a lap without a single complaint about everything I’ve been through!

I’m a joyful, energetic, affectionate 9-year-old boy who refuses to let my disabilities define me, and my spirit is nothing short of infectious. Please sponsor me as I continue to treat every day as an absolute gift.

Hi, I'm Bailey!

I am completely feral and was gravely ill and pregnant when KPOH rescued me. The clinic discovered my pregnancy during my TNR procedure and aborted my babies. I grieved heavily, as neither KPOH nor I had any say about what happened to my babies. Through that grief, through arthritis, hip dysplasia, and through ongoing eye conditions that threatened to require surgical removal, KPOH found a way to help me heal without putting me through additional trauma. I have also found my love soulmate, Cash, here at KPOH.

I’m now 10 years old, and Cash and I are completely inseparable; our love story began at KPOH, which refused to give up on either of us. Please sponsor me and help with my ongoing medical conditions.

Hi, I'm Valentine!

I’m one of three kittens who spent eight days alone before anyone knew we existed. Our feral mom had been trapped and was too ill to immediately return, and the clinic did not disclose that hungry babies were waiting for her. KPOH discovered us just in the nick of time, as my sisters and I were emaciated and on the brink of not making it.

I’m currently 9 years old, mischievous, clever, and completely unrepentant about it, despite sometimes being caught in the act. Please sponsor me and invest in me as the sweet, spirited troublemaker who survived against all odds and never looked back. Every Valentine’s Day, my heart breaks when I personally beg for a sponsor, and no one has yet to become one :(

Hi, I'm Ryder!

I was saved from a certain death at a demolition site wedged between a Walmart and a hotel parking lot, with my two feral sisters and tame, very frightened mom. Unfortunately, I was too old to be fully socialized, and I will never allow a hand to touch me. However, I will take a treat placed gently in front of me, and on a good day, I will press my nose to an extended finger. For me, that is everything!

I am now 4 years old, living safely with my sisters and mom, and I am proof that rescue does not require taming. It requires showing up. Please sponsor me and allow me to have the safe, cared-for life all kitties deserve.

Hi, I'm Chivas Regal!

I was a one-eyed kitten pressing my face against neighborhood windows, searching for someone to care, and finding only closed doors. Residents passed by me day after day without a second glance, but I never stopped hoping. Instead of a home, I found Bailey, a pregnant feral girl just as desperate to survive, and we formed an unbreakable bond on streets that showed no mercy to either of us. Rescued together on the same night, we recovered side by side, leaning on each other through every painful moment. Bailey eventually gave her heart to Cash, but she has never stopped loving me with the fierce, protective devotion of a mother.

I’m now 11 years old, but I’m a gentle, completely feral boy who finally has the safety and tenderness I’ve spent my whole early life searching for. I am currently dealing with level 2 chronic kidney disease, but I never gave up finding my place in the world.
Please consider becoming my sponsor!

Hi, I'm Cookie!

I’m a seal-point Siamese with an opinion about everything, and I have absolutely no hesitation in sharing it. I was surrendered to a barn situation, an arrangement that sounds pastoral but is, in reality, a death sentence for an indoor cat such as myself who has never known anything but survival.

KPOH intervened before that fate could take hold. Upon intake, several of my painful teeth were extracted, and I responded the way any self-respecting Siamese would: by immediately resuming my vocal reign over everyone around me.

I am now an approximately 13-year-old senior and still 100% diva. I demand attention and sponsors, command every room I enter, and I have zero apologies for any of it.

Hi, I'm Cash!

I’m an exceptionally handsome ginger tuxedo. I once had a home, though I wasn’t neutered or microchipped, and my owner never came forward to claim me. I wasted no time making myself at home among the KPOH sanctuary ladies, and it wasn’t a rumor that I was two-timing on my first partner, Winter. I have paid the price for my infidelity.

Since then, I converted to a devoted romance with Bailey, and we can regularly be found together without a single regret between us, living the remaining days of our senior years together.

I’m approximately 14 years old; and am still a charming, unrepentant gentleman. Please sponsor me and help with my ongoing senior medical needs.

Hi, I'm Charity!

I came into this world as part of a FIV+ feral litter dumped with my mom at a Starbucks. By the grace of fate, I was spared the diagnosis that touched my sibling, Faith, who has since sadly passed away. We were adopted not once, but twice, through no fault of our own, had to be returned. Two returns. Two goodbyes. And through all of it, I remained exactly who I  have always been: a beautiful tabico who is gentle, sweet, and quietly deserving of a forever that sticks. KPOH has been that forever.

I’m now 14 years old, sharing my senior days side by side with my calico sister Hope. We are the last of our family and each other’s constant since kittenhood.  I’ve never had a sponsor; it would be nice to be supported through my final golden years.
